Support Hamed's Family Amid Gaza Crisis

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Mariana Vasquez, and I live in Atlanta, GA. I am reaching out to you on behalf of Hamed Jarada, a resident of North Gaza, and his family. Hamed, known as @AnimalSavior_
on X, passionately documents his efforts to feed local stray cats despite the challenging circumstances in his area. With minimal external support, he uses his own resources to ensure these animals receive care and nourishment.

Tragically, Hamed's mother and his young brother, Moumin (7 years old), recently suffered injuries in a bombing. Moumin lost an eye and has shrapnel lodged in his eye socket, causing him constant pain. Their mother also has shrapnel embedded in her arm. They urgently need medical care, which is currently inaccessible until the crossing reopens.

In addition to this hardship, Hamed himself is struggling with severe stomach issues due to contaminated food and water. Despite his own health challenges, he remains dedicated to his mission of caring for animals and his family.

To facilitate their medical treatment and provide relief, we are seeking your support. The cost of visas and associated expenses for evacuation and transport is substantial—$5,000 per adult and $2,500 per child were the estimates before the crossing closed. We aim to raise funds for two adult visas and one child visa, in addition to covering coordination fees and essential GoFundMe and PayPal transfer costs. Any surplus funds will directly support Hamed's family, enabling them to purchase food and essential medical supplies, which are increasingly expensive and scarce.

Our immediate goal is to raise $15,000. If we achieve this, I will personally cover the cost of the child's visa. Your generosity will make a significant difference in Hamed's family's life during this critical time.

This is from Hamed:

The prices here were reasonable before the ground entry of the occupation army into Rafah and the closure of the Rafah crossing. The only way for goods to enter and the only crossing for travel out of Gaza
But now, prices have become astronomical and very high, and no one can buy good food except a few people

For a week to this day, we have only eaten canned goods. The biggest problem I face is that I go with my mother and brother to the hospital to change the bandages on their wounds, and the hospital is far from us. After the crossing was closed, transportation prices increased significantly due to the high cost of fuel.
Everything here is very difficult, we live a bitter and difficult life

I hope that the prices of medicines do not rise either, because my mother and brother need medicine constantly and their health condition will deteriorate if I am not able to provide the medicine.

Here are Hamed and Moumin feeding cats together despite all the harships they've endured:
