Help Hannah Fight Chronic Illness & Reclaim Her Life

Hi, my name is Anna and I am helping my childhood friend who is in desperate need of help. Hannah was recently fired from her full time virtual job for being hospitalized too often due to all of her health issues. Three months ago she went Septic and almost didn’t make it. She’s now facing eviction, has been denied disability despite her severe medical conditions, and urgently needs funds for critical care. Her father is in the final stages of Parkinson’s, leaving her family unable to provide the emotional or financial support she needs during this devastating time.

She has multiple chronic illnesses which cause unbearable symptoms:

• Non-epileptic seizures from functional neurological disorder, which leave her unable to walk or speak for hours after

•Osteogenesis Imperfecta (brittle bone disease), which has caused over 50 broken bones and 11 surgeries. This disease causes one to feel pain 10X more intensely than the average person

    • Severe migraines, nausea, muscle atrophy, and chronic fatigue that make basic daily tasks impossible. Currently she is unable to even do laundry, and can barely walk her dog

• severe endometriosis, adenomyosis & cysts leaving her body in constant pain and causing contractions so intense her OBGYN says it’s like her body thinks she’s in labor

• POTS, causing dizziness, weakness, and fainting.

• CRPS caused by faulty IV insertion causing her left hand and arm to be barely functional

Despite her strength, she’s been abandoned by the healthcare system. She’s been denied pain relief in the ER, mocked by staff who didn’t review her chart, and is regularly rejected by doctors who find her case too complex. In the past year alone she has seen over 70 specialists simply trying to find someone who has answers.

Right now, she has no money for necessities, let alone the critical treatments she needs in order to survive. She’s preparing for a hysterectomy to address her endometriosis, adenomyosis, cysts and fibroids. Which is worsening her overall health and is a very intense surgery that she will need support post-op to stand a chance recovering

* pain management for medications, injections & IVs not covered by insurance

* Visits to her rheumatologist who she has to pay out of pocket for

    •    Hysterectomy recovery costs & the care involved to ensure she is able to recover

    •    Rent, food & basic living expenses to prevent homelessness.
