Support Harlestone Cricket Club

With the continued threat of coronavirus, the ECB, following advice from Government, have effectively cancelled the cricket season for 2020.

This means that the main revenue stream the club receives, match fees, has disappeared for the year. Unfortunately, the costs associated with running the club haven't disappeared, and there are still ground fees, rental costs, and maintenance and upkeep expenses to be covered.

This fundraising activity is an attempt to not just keep the club afloat, but to raise money to ensure that cricket at Harlestone in 2021 will make up for the absence this year.

We have already received a quote to level the playing outfield (£1200), and ensure that the ground is not only safe for play, but fit to host visiting teams from across the Northants Cricket League.

We have received a quote for materials to develop the changing rooms (£600), and we have priced up the much needed developments to the toilets and washrooms.

Ultimately, this club relies on the goodwill of the players, groundstaff and volunteers around the club who give up their time to make sure that the local community is served by a successful, family-orientated cricket club.

All funds raised through this venture will go towards improving the facilities and making sure that the club comes out of this crisis stronger than ever.

From everyone associated with the club, thank you for any donations you are able to make. We all hope you and your family stay safe and healthy, and we look forward to seeing you in 2021!

Many thanks,
Sally Toone (Club Treasurer/bursar)
