Support Hayden and Brandon's Recovery Journey

Some of our very best friends were attacked on Sunday while attending Country Fan Fest and celebrating with their family. Multiple family members were injured. They are now facing many surgeries.

These are the events told by the mom & wife of victims:

Trigger Warning - Aggravated assault and bodily injury

We were wrapping up celebrating Hayden’s birthday, and the last night of Country Fan Fest, at our trailer getting ready to go to bed. At around 3:10 Sunday morning three people showed up to the trailer, two we didn’t know.

Hayden was walking up the stairs when, unprovoked, one of the people we didn’t know ripped Hayden off the stairs and began assaulting him, nearly biting his finger off. Brandon flew out of the trailer to protect Hayden.

At this point, complete chaos ensued. Fortunately, friends and family were camping close by and they came to help attempt to stop the guy. I went outside to see Brandon lying unresponsive in a pool of blood and he had a severely damaged black eye. He was knocked out for 3-5 minutes, at least.

The fight continued among those involved. They were trying to take this guy down and stop him. I scrambled to find a phone to call 911. While on the phone with 911 the guy ran into our trailer and some of the boys had to drag him out. The guy took off and Brandon woke up. He tried to find the guy, but fortunately the cops arrived and were able to interject.

It took the cops tranquilizing the guy to stop him.

Brandon was transported by ambulance to the emergency room. He has fractures to his nasal bones, fractures of the orbital floor, fracture of the medial orbital wall, and hemorrhaging of his eye. He will need plastic surgery for his injuries. Fortunately, the pool of blood he was lying in was not his, it had to have been from the suspect.

Hayden had to have his finger nail bed sewed back on due to it being bit off. He has a displaced fracture of distal phalanx along with a torn tendon in his right ring finger.

We extend our apologies to everyone who was there and witnessed all of this. We are grateful for those who helped and we are so sorry for everyone involved that this happened. We appreciate them more than they will know.

We are unsure of next steps. The guy was arrested and charged with aggravated assault resulting in bodily harm and mayhem.

For now, the boys will heal and we will get them the surgeries they need to fix this mess.
