Support healing retreats for postpartum mothers
Tax deductible
Hi there, my name is Alecia Dawn and I’m the founder of YOGAMOTIF a creative wellness studio based in Pittsburgh, PA. I’m writing to invite you to become an enthusiastic supporter of collective postpartum care. Donate today to send 100 Black mothers on healing artist and yoga retreats through The PostpARTum Project.
ABOUT US:
YOGAMOTIF is a creative wellness studio that offers art and yoga classes to youth, pregnant people, and the community at large. The postpARTum Project, delivers self-guided yoga and artist retreats for Pittsburgh’s postpartum Black mothers. Guests experience one-day retreats at a nature-based cabin, Getaway house, allowing for spiritual renewal from childbirth.
FUNDRAISER
On December 11, 2021 we will host the Take Up Space virtual festival, a fundraising event for The PostpARTum Project. Guests will enjoy a day-long ticketed fall festival of art, yoga, meditation, and play to support Black mothers to experience The PostpARTum Project’s spring and summer retreat. The postpARTum Project is made possible in part by the Advancing Black Arts in Pittsburgh grant from The Pittsburgh Foundation and The Heinz Endowments. Your tax deductible support will help increase our capacity from hosting 20 Black Mothers to 100.
When our extended community supports The postpARTum Project, you honor the importance of health and wellness for Black women and families. You join us at YOGAMOTIF in recognizing that collective healing includes intentional healing. While Pittsburgh maintains some of the country’s poorest health outcomes for Black women, supporting our work is an investment in individual care that impacts our community care.
A Peace of Mind Inc is the fiscal sponsor of The PostpARTum Project and the Take Up Space fundraiser.
