Support Healing Through Safety and Strength

I work at UF health and have had multiple women as patients who are domestic abuse survivors. I've heard them tell their stories, saying how the cops do not believe their stories, saying they were asking for it because of where they slept or what they were wearing. I think its ridiculous, no one in the world asks to be abused, and it's sad how the people who are supposed to protect us are calling them liars. I want to do this gofundme for them to get them some self defense lessons and rape whistles. These women need people supporting them and a lot of them have no one and don't have the financial support they need to get some self defense lessons. I believe all women should have at least a simple understanding of how to defend themselves, both with history of abuse and people who don't. Being precautious isn't always a bad thing in this world.
