Support Helena Shanafelt battle cancer
Donation protected
I met Helena Shanafelt in 2004 when we were neighbors in the Bronze Coast of Alameda. She would come over to my house, help me clean, do my dishes (I hated doing the dishes!) and became a good friend of mine. She has supported herself most of her life, never asking for any help in return. But now, she needs all the help and support she can get. As you may know, Helena was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer late December of 2020. For two grueling years, she went through chemotherapy, radiation, had multiple surgeries and had a complete mastectomy. She had lymph nodes removed which caused her to get Lymphedema. She had her breasts re-constructed and went into remission.
Recently, she developed a cough and went to the Emergency Department. They did a CT scan and found lesions on her spine and diagnosed her with bone cancer. The doctors noticed a mass in her brain and scheduled her for an MRI and PET scan. The results came back and the cancer has spread to her brain. She started Chemotherapy yesterday and starts targeted radiation next week.
She is currently in the hospital struggling and she desperately needs all the help and support she can get. I am asking for everyone to PLEASE DONATE and SHARE this with everyone they know. Thank you.
