Support Helix Youth Employees

Helix’s mission is to build career pathways and provide experiential education to youth through a number of programs. Our Edgewater cafe is our most prominent program for 16-24-year-olds from across the city and region. Because of our focus on youth, we are following the guidance of Governor Pritzker in protecting our staff and community against novel coronavirus (COVID-19). Helix will be temporarily closing our cafe, beginning, Saturday, March 14.

Helix is the sole income for our employees, and in an effort to support our team, we have created this GoFundMe to offset the loss of wages they experience during this time. 

We have a diverse youth team who come from a wide range of backgrounds. Our cafe salaries support youth experiencing homelessness, youth saving for college, youth who are starting their own businesses, and more.
