We have lost a precious soul. Héritier MPO, a true conservation hero, has passed away, leaving behind a legacy of love, courage, and dedication to nature and the animals he tirelessly protected.

His passing is an immense loss, not only for his family, loved ones, and the local communities he guided and worked with but also for everyone who crossed his path and shared his dream of a better world. Today, we have the opportunity to honor him by supporting his family during these challenging times.

To honor his memory and ease the burden on his loved ones during this difficult time, we are launching a fundraising campaign. The donations will be used to:

The collected funds will be allocated as follows: the funeral expenses will be provided to Héritier's parents, while the funds raised for his wife and children will be directly given to his spouse.

Héritier MPO was a partner to JACK Primate Sanctuary in Lubumbashi, DRC, and Friends of JACK Primate Sanctuary, here in the USA. Héritier's NGO APPACOL-PRN is located in Lodja, DRC, and he was heavily focused on rescuing wildlife impacted by the illegal wildlife trade.

For this fundraiser, Linda Lanzl, founder of Friends of JACK Primate Sanctuary, will be managing the funds raised here. 100% of the funds sent to us will go to the family. We take 0% of the funds raised.
