Support January 6th Hero Michael Fanone and His Family

MICHAEL FANONE is a national hero – he and his family urgently need our help right now.

On January 6th, 2021 my friend DC Metro Police Officer Michael Fanone was among the patriotic first responders that held the line against Trump’s violent mob. He self-deployed to defend our Capitol and nearly lost his life heroically protecting our elected officials and the peaceful transfer of power.

Dragged into the frenzied, armed crowd, thrown to the ground, Mike was savagely beaten by the mob, threatened with death, repeatedly electrocuted with a taser.

Rescued unconscious by fellow officers, Mike suffered a heart attack and numerous severe injuries including a traumatic brain injury and severe, ongoing PTSD.

Despite countless sick threats to him and his family, Mike kept his oath and answered a call from Congress’ January 6th Committee to speak publicly about his experiences that day. An undercover officer, Fanone’s anonymity was compromised.

For simply doing his job and speaking the truth, Mike was then cruelly harassed by pro-MAGA fellow officers when he returned to work from medical leave. This forced him to depart from a twenty-year career with the DC Metro Police without pension or benefits.

In the four years since, Mike has repeatedly been called to stand witness at trials of the MAGA criminals that directly, violently attacked him. His assailants were all legally convicted, sentenced and incarcerated.

This week, however, Donald Trump recklessly blanket-pardoned all these J6 felon assailants through his executive order, sprung them all from custody! Despite solid, overwhelming evidence and trial convictions that they horribly beat and nearly murdered a police officer, Trump set these dangerous, vindictive thugs loose. Many have already boasted they “would do it again,” some stating they were already arming up.

Mike and his family are now in clear danger of retribution. They have all been threatened. Mike’s mom who’s nearly 80 has even been disgustingly, repeatedly tormented and disgustingly accosted at her home.

While he’s filed with the court for protection for his family, even if that comes through, the Fanones now desperately require private security. This is obviously very costly.

Making matters worse, Trump’s endless lies have blocked Mike from landing steady work. Every job he’s applied to since January 6th, he’s told he’s a hero, but “too polarizing” to employ. Fanone’s been left with no benefits nor healthcare coverage for him and his family.

Michael Fanone risked his life and kept his oath to America. To us. His heroism, bravery, patriotism, honesty, sacrifice and adherence to his oath embody what’s best about our nation. He deserves our respect and help.

Thanks again for agreeing to host this gofundme for me and my family. As many may already know, my family and I haved faced threats of violence, vandalism and assaults at the hands of Trump supporters angry at me for my outspokenness and willingness to confront his lies. This was before Trump pardoned the violent criminals who assaulted me on january 6. I am currently unemployed, I do not receive a pension from the police department nor do I have health insurance provided by my former employer. The financial burdens associated with both security for my family and I as well as relocating myself are more than I can afford. Thats why I'm asking for your help to keep me and my family safe.
