Update: Holly was awake and communicating yesterday at the hospital but she has a very long road ahead!

Tell my Aunt's story, well there isn't enough room here... so I will start with this week. On Sunday May 12th Holly started spitting up blood, my mother, Faith, called the ambulance and of they were to OSF in rockford, after a night there they sent her home to follow up with family Dr on Thursday. Thursday came and in the morning she didn't look ok, my brother Nathan went to check on her and she sat up and it happened again with the blood. The ambulance was called and off to OSF hospital again. After a night there she was still bleeding from somewhere but they didn't know where. They transferred her to critical care ICU, a pulmonary doctor came in to scope her lungs, during the test she went into cardiac arrest, they brought her back. But that would not be the last time. She went into cardiac arrest 4 more times. She fought hard along with the doctors to come back. After being stable all night, by the grace of God, we got the news UW Madison would take her. A quick helicopter ride and a very fast drive by mom and I we were at the hospital. She was stable and in the care of such amazing doctors and nurses. She had to be stable all night and pass many tests before IR surgery. At UW we found out that some of her vessels had burst from being irritated after her last bout with pneumonia weeks prior. She also had an embolism in her lung.

On Saturday morning Faith and I got the phone call She was a go for surgery, we saw her before and she was squeezing hands and responding slightly with grimaces and raising eye brows, especially when I told her if she kept doing it her face would stay that way!! After her 4 hours surgery where they successfully stopped all bleeding, we saw her... she opened her eyes squeezed my hand and kept trying to talk and get up...... to say my heart was doing flip flops is an understatement.

But we still have a very long road and we want to try and have a family member close by which will get expensive because they won't allow staying in the hospital, so that means extended hospital stays.

I am asking for a small amount of help during this time. I know it's rough for everyone right now so anything will be greatly appreciated!! Even $1.

Thank you and please continue to keep my Aunt Holly in your thoughts and prayers!
