Support Homeless Oregonians in Advance of Trump-led Eviction

Tax deductible
On May 1st, the US Forest Service plans to conduct the largest eviction of a homeless encampment in recent history, closing a section of the Deschutes Forest outside of Bend, OR. Up to 200 unhoused residents, including 80 with disabilities and medical conditions like cancer, face displacement or the threat of arrest or large fines. They have nowhere else to go. Shelters are full, and housing is just too expensive.

Already, federal law enforcement has increased harassment and threats, and even tasered one individual.

Please donate as you can to support people living in the forests and the legal effort underway to stop the eviction.

Home More Network and Bend Equity Project have requested a Temporary Restraining Order to delay the closure, citing rushed processes and disregard for residents’ well-being. Your donation will support clients with bail, vehicle-related expenses for towing/repairs, emergency supplies, and legal costs associated with this eviction.
