Tax deductible
My name is Jeff Fisher. I am the president and founder of Hope Bags of Michigan, a 501(c)(3) charity in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. Homelessness in Michigan is a serious issue. According to the National Alliance to End Homelessness' 2023 State of Homelessness report, 8,206 people in Michigan experienced homelessness on a given night in 2022, and that number is growing.
We manufacture and distribute Hope Bags in Michigan. A Hope Bag includes toothbrushes, razors, hand cream, rain ponchos, nail clippers, shaving cream, deodorant, razors, snacks, beverages, and homemade sandwiches. Because of our tax-free exemption status, we can purchase items in our Hope Bags in bulk directly from the manufacturer.
You can make a one-time donation or join our $5 monthly program, If 1000 people donate, that amounts to $5000 per month. If we received 5000 donations, we could provide Hope Bags to thousands of individuals in need and buy socks, shirts, gift cards for fast food restaurants, bus passes, and gift cards for hotel stays during cold weather periods.
The board of directors at Hope Bags of Michigan receives no compensation for their duties.
