Support Hope's Brave Battle Against Leukemia
Donation protected
We are reaching out to you with a heartfelt request to support one of our own. Hope, the vibrant and outgoing 14-year-old daughter of our cherished colleague, is bravely battling T-cell leukemia.
Hope is a ray of sunshine in our community. She loves going to school, especially for math and to see her favorite teacher, Ms. Ackerman. She's always on the lookout for the latest styles and has a special talent for making everyone feel included, especially those who might feel lonely. Her passion for 90’s and 2000’s rock, inspired by her parents' amazing taste in music, is evident in her impressive collection of rock T-shirts. Hope is also an avid reader with a wonderfully eclectic taste in books, making her a truly magical person to be around.
Last Thursday, Hope was admitted to Banner Diamond Children's Hospital due to irregular bloodwork. A CT scan revealed a mass in her chest, compressing her lungs and some veins and arteries. She also has fluid around her heart, and her white blood cell count is rapidly rising, producing "bad cells" or blast cells. This led to the diagnosis of T-cell leukemia. Hope has already started chemotherapy and is in for a long, tough fight.
We are asking for your prayers and support for Hope. Pray for her strength and resilience to overcome this battle. Pray for her to find her smile again, as she is currently feeling very down. Hope and her family will be staying at Banner for the next few weeks, and while she isn't up for visitors right now, please reach out if you'd like to coordinate a visit in the future.
We have set up this GoFundMe to help Hope and her family during this difficult time. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference. Let's come together as a community to support Hope and her family, showing them that they are not alone in this fight.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and prayers.
