Support Hua's Fight for Life After Tragic Shooting

33-Year-Old Father of Two Shot In The Head While Sleeping

My brother, Run Hua Kuang (known as Hua), immigrated to the US from Taishan, China in 2005 searching for the American Dream for his family.  

On the afternoon of August 1st after coming home from his job as a delivery truck driver, Hua took a nap. While he slept, a bullet came flying through a wall, penetrated the headboard and went straight through his head and out his left eye. 

Hua is the sole provider for his wife of 7 years and their 7-month old and 3-year old daughters along with his parents. They live in a housing project in East Oakland. His life was built upon being disciplined and devoted as a husband, father, and son. 

After the tragic shooting, Hua underwent a 7-hour surgery and is now on life support in ICU fighting for his life. This shocking incident has left the entire family traumatized and in deep distress. This tragedy has created a severe financial burden for our family. Furthermore, Hua’s absence is even more of a hardship and struggle since he is the only one who can speak limited English and take care of the responsibilities and communications for the household.

我哥哥Run Hua Kuang（人称华）于 2005 年从中国台山移民到美国，为家人寻找美国梦。

8月1日下午，华做完送货卡车司机的工作后回家小睡，不幸的是在他睡觉时，一颗无名飞弹穿过墙壁，穿透床头板，直接射穿他的头部，从左眼射出。

华是家里唯一经济来源，他担负着已结婚 7 年妻子、7 个月大和 3 岁的女儿以及父母。他们一起住在东奥克兰，他是位尽责的丈夫和父亲和孝顺的儿子。

悲惨的枪击事件发生后，华接受了长达 7 小时的手术，现在仍在ICU 与死神搏斗。这一令人震惊的事件让整个家庭都受到了创伤，陷入了深深的痛苦之中。这悲剧给我们家庭带来了沉重的经济负担。此外，由于华是家里唯一一个能说有限英语并承担家庭责任和沟通的人，我们全家都陷入晴天霹雳的困境中。
