Hello, My heart is heavy as I share our family's story of my brave little grandson Hudson who is just 2-1/2 years old.
One sunny Fall afternoon in Johnston, RI Hudson's parents Christopher and Kaylee noticed Hudson was unusually tired and wasn’t his playful self. After a visit to Hasbro Children’s Hospital and a series of tests, they received the heartbreaking news: Hudson was diagnosed with B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (B-ALL). As you can imagine the news has shook their world, along with the entire family. However, they quickly realized that Hudson was a brave little warrior, equipped with a great Oncology team by his side. He is ready to fight with all his might. Hudson has undergone his first surgery on Tuesday, November 12th, 2024. A day that our family will never forget. From that day forward he will begin his cancer treatment journey (four -five years). This means staying in the hospital for six straight weeks with his Mom, Dad, and big brother Rowen by his side. Then facing countless hospital visits, continuing treatments, and medications that will make him feel unwell.
Hudson is a beautiful brown-eyed little boy with a spunky personality and infectious laughter. He loves all things boy! From monster trucks to hot wheels, to super heroes and puppy’s. He loves to talk about his family vacations to Rhode Island’s beautiful beaches and going for his family walks. He’s a dirt loving boy who helps garden with his mom and pick up leaves with dad. His heart is kind, full of innocence, and love for everyone, especially his big brother and cousins. Hudson is looking forward to his third birthday on December 21, 2024.
This is where our kindness can make a difference. We are raising funds to support Hudson’s treatment and help his family during this challenging time. Every dollar counts and brings Hudson one step closer to recovery. Together, we can help this little warrior continue to spread his laughter. Join us in supporting Hudson and making a difference in his life. Your generosity can help light up his path to recovery and show him that he is never alone in this fight. Thank you for your love and support!
