My name is Ira, and I am raising money for Hug for Hope. Hug for Hope provides respite for survivor families that have suffered trauma, loss and displacement after the October 7th attacks. The program aims to provide these families a break from the suffering and stress in their daily life.

Funds raised will provide a getaway for one family to come to Colorado for one week and create a connection between Jews living in Israel and Jews in the Diaspora/Galut. The program has already fostered lasting friendship and deepened the solidarity with Israel among host families.

We have families that survived the horror of the attack in Kibbutz Nir Oz. Over 150 Hamas militants rampaged Kibbutz Nir Oz and killed and took hostage more than half of the roughly 400 residents.

During their trip to Colorado, we will show them all that Colorado has to offer, including a connection with the land and people of Boulder. We will organize a community event so you can hear their stories firsthand. We will celebrate Shabbat in the mountain air! We would love for you to be part of this important mission.
