Support Human Rights of Drs. ElBialy & Youssef

We are the uOttawa BIPOC Caucus and we are raising funds to support the human rights efforts of our dear colleagues, Dr. Safaa El-Bialy and Dr. Nermine Youssef.
For the past year, Drs. El-Bialy and Youssef have endured heavy handed treatment and reprisal as they have attempted to claim and enforce their human rights. These matters are now before the Human Rights Tribunal and Labour Relations Board.
But they need some help. Here' why:
- Their union—the Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation (and collective bargaining unit SSUO)— has adamantly refused to provide legal representation. As a result, Drs. El-Bialy and Youssef have had to incur extensive legal costs.
The BIPOC Professors & Librarians Caucus at the University of Ottawa has published statement in support of Dr. El-Bialy and Dr. Youssef.
