Support Humanitarian Efforts in Malaysia

Hello! I am Cale Stinebaugh. I am a junior at Ferris High School, the 2nd of 4 sisters and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

A couple of years ago my oldest sister Zoe had the opportunity to serve in another county & I knew it was an experience I wanted to participate in as well. I have spent the last couple of years working towards participating in the Humanitarian XP program. I am so excited that this coming July 2024 I will be traveling to Malaysia for over two weeks to serve in the rural communities to help build garden towers.

Data from the Malaysian Adult Nutrition Survey in recent years showed that up to 25% of the population faced insufficient food quantity and variety, with a higher prevalence observed among low-income households (33%–39%).To help solve this in-access to food, we are providing sustainable cultivation of fruits and vegetables through a revolutionary new type of farming.

These towers are designed to provide communities with a sustainable source of fresh produce, fostering food security, and promoting a healthier lifestyle.

The primary objective of the Humanitarian XP program is to give each youth the opportunity to deepen his/her own testimony of Jesus Christ through service—just by doing what He did. I am excited for this opportunity to grow in my faith through serving.

I have been working many different jobs babysitting, cleaning houses, lifeguarding, home renovation help and office filing over the last year to pay for this experience & have been successful. However, I am looking for help through donations to sponsor me for this service mission as this would allow me to continue to save for college as well.
