Support Humanitarian Efforts in Ukraine

Following Russia's full scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, I went to volunteer in Warsaw to help the refugees (mostly women, children and seniors) escaping the horrors of war. But I knew I wanted to do more.

Finally, in May 2023, I was able to leave my position as Executive Director of All Stars Helping Kids in the Bay Area, give up my apartment, put everything I owned into storage and headed to Ukraine. Since then, I have been volunteering full time providing humanitarian aid with a number of incredible organizations:

My primary volunteering is with The Traveling Colonels - a group of U.S. military veterans that have been working in Ukraine for almost 2 years to provide vital live-saving medical supplies and equipment. I serve as the coordinator here in Ukraine receiving supplies and donations that have been shipped to Ukraine from the US. We then have volunteers work to create individual first aid kits, medic kits, and hospital supplies.

A contribution of $100 will provide an individual soldier with a combat tested individual first aid kit (IFAK) including a combat tourniquet, trauma bandages, chest seals, burn dressing and more.

In addition to first aid kits, we work with regional hospitals that need IV Lines, arthroscopic surgical tools, catheters, blood pressure machines, nasal airways, surgical headlamps, as well as gauze, surgical gloves and gowns.

Recently we helped to support two regional hospitals in the Sumy Region which borders Russian providing supplies, equipment including a ultrasound machine (which can be used not just for sonograms but also to find shrapnel).

Shortly after our visit, the area was hit by a Russian missile killing a child and would 14 others. Our supplies were immediately put into action as the hospital created an emergency response station:

On weekend, I often volunteer with Brave to Rebuild - a volunteer initiative that helps people whose homes in the previously occupied areas were damaged by the Russian invasion.

When I am in Kharkiv, you can find me at Hell's Kitchen (Pekelna Kuhnya) reparing complex meals (soup, porridge with meat and bread) for people who have suffered due to the military aggression of Russia against Ukraine. They also provide humanitarian assistance to those in need.

As volunteers we are responsible for all of our own living expenses (lodging, meals, etc.) as well as helping to purchase equipment and supplies (shovels, gloves, masks, helmets, body armor, first aid and medical supplies); transportation (trains, buses, etc.); and providing direct support to individual soldiers, combat medics and individual families.

100% of every dollar will go to providing humanitarian and disaster relief aid directly to local communities, families and individuals.
