It is with heavy hearts and immense deep sorrow that on Saturday June 19th the Family of Nat Humbert suffered the tragic loss of their husband, father and brother.
The Humbert Family needs our love and support more than ever. Many specific needs will be forth coming in the days ahead but our hopes is this Gofundme will help ease a sliver of their burdens.
Nathaniel Brian Humbert passed away June 19, 2021 in Burleson, Texas. He was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend. Nat loved and fiercely defended his family and friends.
He was born in Scobey, MT and spent his formative years ranching with his family. In his early teens, the family moved, first to Dubuque, IA, and then to Fairfax, VA. There, he met his wife, Erin Theresa Berk-Humbert when he was a Junior in high school. He joined the military after graduating high school, and was stationed in Germany. He and Erin married on December 27, 1993.
In Germany, he and Erin welcomed their daughter, Ashley. Shortly after her birth, at the end of his service, they returned stateside. They welcomed their son, Walter Thomas, now Desmond, in Virginia. Shortly after his birth, they moved to Tampa, FL. Years later, they moved to Texas, where he resided until his death.
Nat was known for his bear hugs, his ability to solve any problem, and his willingness to always show up for his family and friends. He valued time and experiences spent with those he loved. However, he also struggled with mental illness and chronic pain. These eventually led to his death.
Our love for Nat lives on. Rest in peace.
