Support Ian Jenkins' Journey to Berklee

Hello all! My name is Ian Jenkins and I am currently a senior high school student looking to attend college for music production in the fall!

Currently, I have been accepted to Berklee College of Music for their EPD program and Belmont University for their Audio Engineering program. I come from a middle-class family with no real struggle, but this is my exact issue. My family makes too much money to be considered for aid, but too little money to be able to send me to college without taking out life-changing loans on me.

Currently, my mother of four still takes care of my siblings, although I am the youngest at 18. Music, through and through, has not only made me who I am today but brought me out of some of the worst struggles of my life (drug abuse, mental illness, divorce of my parents, etc.). I have thought about many careers, trying to find the one that would mean the most to me. I now realize this cannot be anything but something related to music. Music is my life force and it’s all I strive to do.

I would use this money to pay for college that is painfully expensive, but provides me a ticket to do what I love and make a serious change in the music industry. Thank you all so much!
