Support Ian's Battle with Guilain Berre Syndrome

Hi my name is Ian. I really don't know how to do stuff like this so bare with me. Early March I started feeling a numbness in my legs. I figured it was just my neuropathy spreading up from my feet. Needless to say I was wrong. As days went by I started feeling numbness in various different parts of my body. My hands, stomach, and eventually even my face. I woke up March 10th, and I couldn't walk. I had no feeling from the stomach down. I've never been so scared in my life. I called my brother, and him and my son carried me to his car. He took me to the E.R. , and they immediately saw and admitted me. I couldn't even go to the bathroom by myself. It was awful, and very humbling. Over the course of a few days I had had every test in the world done to me. So many doctors, and nurses checking on me all hours of the day. Eventually a neurologist came in , and said Mr. Mesler you have a rare disease called Guilain Berre Syndrome. She went on to explain that it was a disease that attacks the nervous system, and I would have this disease for the rest of my life. She also went onto assure me that with a series of infusions, and serious physical therapy that I could walk again, but never fully recover. Today I can walk really good with a cane. I can get around a little without it, but it hurts my back. I said all that to say this. I'm out of money. I've done depleted all my resources, and really don't know what to do. It was suggested to me to start this fundraiser to help me with doctor bills, utility bills, etc. I know times are tough for everyone, but if you can spare any amount it would help me tremendously. Thank you, and God bless.
