Support Ian's Fight Against Osteosarcoma

Donation protected
Hey friends, we’re here again, and it’s heartbreaking. Ian, Kristin, Ira, Sofia, and Evie need our community’s support. It’s tough to ask for this, but they need financial help to make this tough journey a bit easier. Kristin can’t keep working while she takes care of Ian and the family. This time around, to provide the best treatment for Ian, it is likely that the family will need to travel out of state, adding additional costs to the treatment plan. So, we, the Michaud Elves, ask that you give whatever you can and say thanks. We really appreciate it—Rosie, Jenn, Deb, and Amanda.

FROM KRISTIN -
On Thursday, we got the call that the biopsy showed Ian has osteosarcoma in his femur in his left leg. He’s been referred to the Jimmy Fund Clinic/Dana Farber in Boston. We’re meeting with the oncologist there next week.

We’re still figuring out what Ian’s treatment plan will be and how they’ll remove the tumor. This new case of osteosarcoma doesn’t seem like a relapse of the one he had before. It looks like a whole new case, and it’s not related to the previous one (which is puzzling to the doctors). How does Ian get a rare cancer twice? It’s not fair. Ian is staying positive, even though he’s dealing with a lot of pain.
