Ian needs a new chair...insurance won't help
Donation protected
My name is Sean Berry. My son, Ian, was born with cerebral palsy. Ian is a 35-year-old graduate of the University of Georgia Terry School of Business. He has made a career as an executive recruiter.
Every few years, he needs a new wheelchair. He is hard on wheelchairs due to the nature of his spasms. Every other chair has been covered by Easter Seals or his employer's insurance... except this time. The new insurance laws have shut him out completely.
Kinda sad... that insurance isn't working for him anymore.
The current chair is bent and is hazardous to use. He has tipped it over multiple times, banging his head as he does.
He jokingly says his chair is more disabled than he is. The new one costs $13,000. He might get a 20% discount through the Seating Service.
Either way, a new chair appears out of his and our cash reach. So I ended up here. If you sympathize, or can relate, Ian is the guy who needs just a bit of assistance.
Thank you in advance for reading this.
