Support Ibrahim Hassan's Family in Gaza

My name is Amela Gunther and I am an American living in Orange County, California.

I am coordinating this fundraiser in support of Ibrahim Hassan, a father from Gaza who is facing challenging circumstances. Ibrahim's spouse was relocated to Egypt by the Palestinian Ministry of Health in February 2024 after sustaining serious injuries in December 2023. Since then, Ibrahim has been the sole provider for his mother, who has cancer, and his four young children, including an infant.

Despite experiencing significant losses, Ibrahim remains devoted to his family and is determined to ensure they are safe from hunger, illness, and hardship. Following the destruction of his business and the absence of a stable income, the family is left with very little.

The funds collected through this fundraiser will be utilized to sustain Ibrahim's family, acquire medical supplies for his mother, and ideally facilitate their reunion and medical care for his mother in Egypt.

Your contribution, regardless of its size, can make a meaningful impact in helping Ibrahim's family withstand the harsh circumstances in Gaza and give them hope to reunite once the borders open.

“My name is Hassan Ibrahim,

And I am a 40-year-old man who had a house in Hamad City, Gaza, that was completely destroyed in December 2023 by the occupation. I had a sewing factory and two shops for veiled women in Khan Younis and Rafah, all of which were destroyed during this war. My wife was injured in this war and she is now in the Arab Republic of Egypt being treated for severe physical and psychological traumas. I was displaced for the first time from Hamad Town to the center of Khan Yunis, then from downtown Khan Yunis and west to Khan Yunis. From Khan Yunis to Rafah, from Rafah to Khan Yunis, then from Khan Yunis to Deir al-Balah, and then from Deir al-Balah to Mawasi, Khan Yunis. My family lost all means of livelihood after I lost my home and source of income. Now I am struggling to feed my four children, Zain (11), Samir (10), Salaf (7), and Adam (11 months), and secure food and medications for my mother.

All my life I was helping others but now I found myself having to ask for help… It took time to gather that courage… I am not asking anything for myself, just for my children.
