Help Ibrahim's Family Survive and Rebuild After War in Gaza
My name is Sherry Lee Short. I learned about Ibrahim Alhabil from my dear friend, Kathleen Keene. Kathleen has been raising money for her friend who lives in Gaza and is a refugee with her young daughter. Ibrahim is her brother, and they are separated by the war. He and his family are also in great need. Please donate to help Ibrahim and his family.
His story:
Hello, my name is Ibrahim, and I’m 27 years old from Gaza, Palestine. I was an engineering student, but the ongoing war has shattered my life, my studies, and most tragically, my family’s future.
On October 12th, 2023, our home was bombed and completely destroyed. Three of our relatives died in the attack. My family of 12—my parents, siblings, and my brother’s children—have barely escaped with our lives. Since then, we’ve been displaced multiple times, fleeing from one place to another under constant threat of bombings. We lost everything: our home, our belongings, and the most basic necessities of life.
We are currently in Deir al-Balah, living in unbearable conditions with no proper shelter against the cold winter. We have no mattresses or blankets to keep warm. Food is scarce and expensive when available. An 11 pound bag of flour costs $350. My father suffers from severe back problems, my mother needs surgery for kidney stones, and the children are sick due to poor living conditions.
Our fishing boats—the only source of income for our family—were destroyed in the war. Now we have nothing left to rebuild our lives.
Your donations will help us:
- *Rent a room*: $200 per month
- *Buy a winter tent*: $500
- *Purchase blankets and mattresses*: $300
- *Buy food and clean water*: $100 per week
- *Afford medical treatments for my family*: Up to $2,000 for surgeries and medications
Every donation—no matter how small—will make a huge difference in helping us survive this harsh winter and rebuild our lives after losing everything.
Please donate today to help my family find safety and hope again.
Thank you for your kindness,
Ibrahim
