Support Ike's family after his tragic death

South Minneapolis is grieving our own dear Isaac Russel-Hart.

Ike left behind a family of 4. We are friends of Ike and Madeleine, we put together this fundraiser that will go to Madeleine and their kids so they don't have to worry about money as they put life together after this unspeakable loss. Please consider giving to help pay for funeral costs, living expenses for his family and hopefully a memorial big enough to fit the immense community Ike built.

Ike was a beloved father of Amari, Sebastian and Oliver. He was a husband to our dear Madeleine. He was a son, a big brother, a cherished cousin, a loyal friend, a gregarious neighbor, he was that one-of-a-kind orange-haired southsider that everyone knows.

Ike was a songbird with a beautiful voice and a gift for wrapping both a tear and a smile in a single note. He was passionate, hilarious, loud, mischievous, irreverent and generous beyond measure.

Ike poured so much love and sweat into nurturing the vitality, art, health, and justice of South Minneapolis and beyond for his 42 years on the planet.

For 6 weeks his friends and family desperately searched for him and waited and wondered if we would ever see our Ike again. Now that we have found him we are mourning as a community and need to gather in support of his family. Help us make sure his wife and children have what they need to manage in the devastating wake of his absence. Let’s take care of Ike’s beloveds the way he took care of all of us.
