Support Iman’s Healing Journey

First, thank you so much for taking the time to read my story. Your patience, attention, and support mean everything to me.
My name is Iman, and I’m a 44-year-old mother to a wonderful 17-year-old son with autism. This year has been a difficult journey, as my health took a serious turn. On April 30, I was admitted to the hospital, and by May 1, I was in the ICU. My family, spread across Georgia and Alabama, gathered to be by my side as doctors prepared them for the worst. My body was shutting down, and the doctors urged my family to call in a chaplain.
My family and friends refused to give up. They fought for me and pushed the doctors to keep searching for answers. Finally, we learned what was happening: I was diagnosed with stage 4 Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. The news was devastating, and my son struggled to understand what was happening to his mom.
Since then, I’ve undergone a bone marrow biopsy and multiple treatments, and I began chemotherapy on May 27. Chemotherapy has completely changed my life and affected my ability to work. Since coming home, I’ve struggled to make ends meet, with mounting medical bills and the added burden of being denied disability assistance.
Reaching out like this is not easy for me, but I’ve learned that sometimes in life, we have to ask for help. I am turning to you for any support you can provide, whether it’s through a donation or simply sharing my story.
Your kindness and generosity are truly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read.
