In Memory Of Pico - Protect Property From Deer

My soon-to-be 14-year-old, 6-pound tenacious Dachshund, Pico, was violently attacked by a deer in my backyard late this afternoon. Please help me protect my property from deer that can attack small dogs so that my next dachshund is safe. I need to build a fence and treat the property with deer repellent before I can have a safe home for another dachshund.
