Support in memory of Maita Marie Dizon Smith

Dear friends and family,

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Maita Marie Dizon Smith. Our mother had been fighting stomach cancer for three years, and sadly passed away due to an infection during her battle.

Even while battling stomach cancer she was able to keep her spirits and loved spending time with her friends and family. Maita was an avid runner until her diagnosis and also loved trying new things to eat with those who she loved. Our mother was beautiful with a vibrant personality full of life. She was strong, caring, and patient, oftentimes putting others before herself despite her ailments. Most importantly she was deeply loved by many just as she had loved for others. 

We have taken the last couple months to grieve our mothers death and process all that has happened since her passing and kept the matter private until we were ready to share this difficult news. To those who were aware of our mothers passing and have reached out to our family, we greatly appreciate the kind words and support we have received. We are now reaching out for financial support during this time. This includes her funeral costs, car loan, closing of her lease, financial responsibilities bestowed on to her children, and more. We will also be fulfilling our mothers wishes and will scatter her ashes at crystal cove in laguna beach

 

Again we would like to thank everyone for the support during this turbulent period in our lives, all the love and support has been overwhelming. If you are able to provide support in any way it would be greatly appreciated by our family during this difficult time.
