Tax deductible
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ray Charles Green III, a bright and loving 17-year-old from Virginia, who left this world peacefully surrounded by his devoted family. Ray was the cherished son of Ray Charles Green II and nephew of Raydenardo Green, and he is survived by his grandfather, Ray Charles Green, as well as his two grandmothers, Sandra Jenkins and Danette Green. His family, friends, and community will forever remember him for the joy he brought into their lives.

Ray was an extraordinary young man whose spirit radiated warmth and kindness. As a student, he excelled academically and achieved the prestigious honor of valedictorian at his academy. His dedication to his studies was evident in his tireless work ethic and commitment to learning. He approached every challenge with determination and resilience, traits that set him apart as a leader among his peers. Ray's academic achievements were not just a reflection of his intelligence but also of his unwavering desire to make a positive impact on the world around him.

Beyond his academic success, Ray was known for his infectious smile and joyful demeanor. He possessed a unique ability to uplift those around him, spreading happiness wherever he went. His laughter was like music to the ears of his family and friends, creating memories that will be cherished forever. Ray had a natural gift for connecting with others; he made everyone feel valued and appreciated. His kindness extended beyond words—his actions spoke volumes about the love he had for his family, friends, and community.

Despite facing non-verbal difficulties, Ray's perseverance was truly inspiring. He navigated life’s challenges with grace and courage, teaching those around him valuable lessons about empathy and understanding. His ability to communicate through gestures, expressions, and the warmth of his presence left an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Ray showed us that love transcends words; it is felt in the heart and expressed through genuine connections.

Ray's family remembers him as a happy child who embraced life with open arms. He had a passion for exploring the world around him, whether it was through nature walks with his loved ones or engaging in creative pursuits that allowed him to express himself artistically. He found joy in simple pleasures—a sunny day, a favorite book, or time spent with family gathered around the dinner table sharing stories and laughter.

In addition to his academic pursuits and joyful spirit, Ray was known for his love of music. He found solace in melodies that resonated with his soul, often sharing songs that brought comfort to those around him. Music was a universal language for Ray; it allowed him to connect with others on a deeper level.

Ray’s legacy will live on in the hearts of those who loved him deeply. His family is grateful for every moment they shared with such a remarkable young man. They take comfort in knowing that Ray’s spirit will continue to shine brightly through the lives he touched. In honor of Ray’s memory, they encourage everyone to embrace kindness, spread love, and cherish each moment with their loved ones.

A celebration of Ray’s life will be held at a date yet to be determined, where family and friends can come together to share stories, laughter, and tears as they remember this incredible young man who brought so much light into their lives. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to organizations supporting children with disabilities or educational initiatives in honor of Ray’s passion for learning and helping others. Ray Charles Green III will be deeply missed but never forgotten; he will
