Support Isaac's Eagle Project: Preserve Beacon Rock History
Tax deductible
Hello, my name is Isaac Hamann and I’m a Life scout with Troop 479 in Vancouver, Wa. I’ve been in scouting since the 1st grade and I’m passionate about camping, the environment and preserving history which is why I want to accomplish this Eagle project.
My goal is to raise $21,000 to replace the roof of the historical picnic shelter on the Hamilton Mtn side of Beacon Rock built by the CCC (Civilian Conservation Corp.)during the Great Depression. The budget is because it's a historically protected building and the materials must be historically accurate. It's in desperate need of repair as the roof may fail soon. This is a community picnic shelter, free to the public to use and it's really cool. Please help me save this building.
I realize my goal is ambitious but I know if 1,050 people are able to donate $20 we can get to the goal together. Donations you make for this shelter restoration are fully tax deductible thanks to the Washington State Parks Foundation who is administering the donated funds and serving as fiscal sponsor for this project.
Thank you for your support.
