Support Isabel in Creating a Safer World for Women

Hi! I am Isabel, and I am currently a student at the University of Texas at Austin.
I am pursuing a Bachelor's in Economics with a Business Minor and a Computer Science Certificate.
I am currently working on a startup that is in its early stages. Amulet is a safety device discreetly embedded in wearable jewelry that connects electronically to the Amulet mobile app. By pressing a built-in button on the jewelry, the device sends a signal to your phone, triggering a fake phone call.
Amulet is designed to help women avoid unwanted interactions in uncomfortable or threatening situations. Discreetly embedded in jewelry, the device offers a sense of security for women who may feel unsafe or pressured during romantic or sexual encounters. Through the app, users can create fake contacts and customize phone calls. If the user doesn’t answer the fake call after three attempts, the app automatically sends their location to designated emergency contacts and emergency operators.
This safety feature is designed to help users overcome the common "freeze" response to sexual violence, assisting in breaking out of that immobilized state. Amulet offers a discreet and powerful tool for protection, helping users navigate high-stress situations and reduce the risk of sexual harassment and assault. By empowering individuals with a quick, subtle response, Amulet enhances personal safety and peace of mind.
I wanted to design something that helps women break free from the freeze response to sexual violence. It is essentially similar to Life Alert and is a sexual assault whistle that works regardless of where you are.
Like many broke college students, I need funding to bring my ideas to life. We all have women in our lives whom we want to protect and keep safe, and with support from generous and kind individuals like you, I would be able to make an actual impact in many women's daily lives.
