Support Isabella and Meagan

Meagan and Isabella’s journey to parenthood has been long and full of ups and downs. With every roadblock that has come their way, they have held tight to each other and made it through to the other side. From unexpected surgeries to all the morning monitoring appointments and lab work, they supported one another and bonded over their shared desire for a family. Finally, they announced that they were pregnant with their baby boy, who would later be named Winter Luca, the bringer of rebirth and light.

There was no one more deserving. And it was easy to see that they would make beautiful parents. As Isabella’s pregnancy progressed, it was wonderful (and fun) to hear Meagan’s proud updates on the baby: “His fists are the size of tater tots this week,” “Today he weighs as much as a MacBook Pro,” “He’s the size of a half-gallon of Sunny D now!” After knowing Meagan for almost 20 years, it was heart-warming to see her embrace this new chapter with her beloved. Motherhood suits her. Isabella was no different. She did everything she could to support her growing boy. Clean eating, plenty of rest, even taking a step away from dance, her first love. She devoted her mind and body to motherhood, and when the doctors finally gave clearance for her to move her body, she danced ballroom, salsa, and bachata with Winter. He moved every time she did, and he loved music.

But on September 16th, at 35 weeks, came the worst update possible:

“We lost the baby.”

“We’re at the hospital.”

“His heartbeat stopped.”

In just moments, their world that had been filled with happiness and anticipation came crashing down. All the hopes and dreams they had for their baby were shattered. Suddenly, they were faced with something no parent ever should: losing their child.

While the road to recovery is long and will be difficult, we ask their community to come together to support them through this time. Meagan and Isabella lost their savings and took out loans to cover the surgery and first IVF cycle, and are now looking at excessive hospital bills from their recent stay. Without our help, the future of their family is uncertain.

To anyone who has known Meagan and Isabella, and to all who can fathom the depths of their pain or empathize with the immense sorrow of losing a child, please consider offering your support, no matter what amount. Your contribution will not only help them recoup the unexpected medical expenses they've incurred, but also pave the way for another IVF cycle when they are ready to try again.

Meagan and Isabella are two of the most kind, thoughtful and giving people we know and they deserve all the happiness in the world. Please help us to lessen their financial burden so they can focus on healing and moving forward together.
