Support Isabella Rose's Fight Against Cancer
Donation protected
Hi, I am Carolina, Isabella Rose's great auntie. I am doing this on behalf of my niece Andrea, Isabella’s mother. So let me share Isa Rose's situation.
When Isabella Rose was 14 months old, a tumor was found in her brain by an MRI scan. Isabella immediately underwent brain surgery and the tumor was removed, but it had already spread to her spinal cord. After pathology testing was completed, the tumor was identified as a very aggressive and rare type of brain cancer. It has a prevalence of about 3 children per 1,000,000 with about 30 new cases diagnosed each year.
Isabella started a very intense chemotherapy protocol at Children’s Hospital Colorado in Denver and has completed six rounds of high-dose chemotherapy, three of those with stem cell transplant.
In order to continue her treatment, Isabella will be traveling out of state this month for six weeks to get proton radiation since such treatment is not available in Colorado. She will receive this treatment at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA.
There have been so many more procedures that I can't even count, countless blood transfusions, 4 surgeries, hospitalizations, etc.
We're trying to help support Isabella and her family during this trying and challenging time. It has not only affected the family emotionally and spiritually but also financially, so any little help would be much appreciated.
