Support Isla and her family with medical expenses!

Hi, my name is Shannon and I am starting a fundraiser to help with medical expenses for my niece Isla! Isla underwent an emergency brain and spinal surgery last night. She has a Chiari Malformation and started showing symptoms Tuesday evening which led to emergency surgery. The surgery went perfect, thanks to the amazing Neuro team at St. Vincent in Billings. She is currently in the PICU recovering. She is intubated and will remain intubated for the next few days. The location of the malformation is the part of the brain responsible for her respiratory system. That is one of their biggest concerns right now as they wake her up. Her road to recovery could be weeks, months, or years. We will not know anything until she wakes up and shows us her beautiful blue eyes. As for now, she will be in the PICU here in Billings for several weeks. If her level of support is higher than they can provide, the Doctors have prepared the family that they may have to transfer to the children’s hospital in Salt Lake City for her to recover. There are many unknowns at this time. Any donations for medical costs and support for the family while they are out of work and focusing on their family is appreciated at this time!
