Support Ivano's $25k vet bill in loving memory of Yogi

Hi. My name is Ivano. I've had Yogi since he was 6 weeks old. He saved my life.

I was in a dark place when I got him and he showed me how to love again. Pure love is all he knew and that’s what he gave me. Unconditional love. I took him with me almost everywhere. To the yoga studios when I was teaching. Even when I spent 8 months out in BC we went in the back country camping together. Everyone that met him loved him and anyone that visited he would greet with love.

On June 6th Yogi was attacked unprovoked by another dog. The Pit Bull was loose in the owners front lawn and began attacking Yogi. By the time we separated the dog, Yogi had sustained multiple severe wounds all over his body. After doing our best to get Yogi to the vet emergency right away and with the best help he could get he succumbed to his injuries a few days later on June 8th.

I’m saddened that when I come home I don’t see him in the window barking with joy that daddy is home. Since the incident of the attack I’ve been sleeping with his blanket that he used to sleep on. Now that he is gone the silence is deafening. I miss my boy. I tried my best to save him with the emergency animal hospital and unfortunately after the last time I visited him, his heart stopped.

I didn’t care on how much it was going to cost because he was my son. I knew I would figure out some way to pay it back. I know the owners of the dog that attacked him don’t have money and I can’t count on them to pay for the cost even though they are liable to do so. Suing them might not work out and interest on the credit card is adding up fast.

Anything anyone can contribute would be greatly appreciated. I love animals and even though another dog killed my Yogi, I forgive that dog. Owners are the ones that are responsible for the animals. I blame them. I don’t know if or when I would get another one. All I know is nothing can replace the 12 great years I spent with Yogi and what he has done for me. Thank you.
