Support Jack & Em through Palliative Care

Those who know Jack and Em - high school sweethearts, best friends and husband and wife - know how strong they’ve been these last few years, tackling all of life’s challenges thrown their way.

Devastatingly though, the most recent development with Jack’s illness puts them in circumstances that are impossible for them to manage alone, and I know there will be a lot of people - friends, family, colleagues and even strangers - who will want to help if they can.

Jack, only 27 years old - an inspired teacher, passionate cricketer, loving husband, father to fur baby Albert, uncle and a wonderful friend - has been fighting Ewing's Sarcoma like a warrior for the last 4 years; a very rare cancer in adults. Sadly, he now nears the end of his battle after being informed that there are no further treatment options available to him.

All pathways have been exhausted, so heartbreakingly, he will be heading home to complete palliative care. Unfortunately, there are no community palliative care options available to Jack due to the time of year, so private care will need to be arranged at a heavy expense to keep Jack comfortable in his final days.
