Support Jackson’s fight for Life, Love and Family

In March, our family experienced a new devastation, hearing that Jackson's cancer had unfortunately relapsed. He was only a couple weeks away from starting maintenance.
After sleepless nights, praying and researching, we learned about an innovative successful trial in Germany. We sent Jacksons full medical history pertaining to his diagnosis and thankfully Jackson was accepted into the treatment. His oncologists support the decision 100%. This program is located Tübingen, (too-ben-gen) Germany.
Individualized tumor neoantigen-targeting peptide vaccination is a promising approach tested in clinical trials. It serves as an additional treatment to conventional anti-tumor therapy and Jackson’s current exhausting chemotherapy regimen.
The ultimate goal is to train and activate the immune system to recognize and destroy tumor cells. Mutation-derived novel protein sequences (neoantigens) are presented on the surface of tumor cells via HLA molecules. The immune system has the ability to recognize these neoantigens as foreign structures and, as a consequence, specific immune cells (cytotoxic T cells) are activated to kill tumor cells.
Unfortunately, this type of treatment is not available in the US, hence also not covered by our insurance.
These Germany treatments require at least 11 individual visits, adding hefty cost of an additional $70,000.
The support received over the past year has helped our family immensely with time away from work, medical costs and the first payment towards treatment in Germany.
We are humbled by the support our family has received through phone calls, visits, donations and prayers.
We deeply appreciate any additional help you can provide to cover Jackson’s care in Germany.
