Support Jacob John's & Family While He Recovers
Donation protected
Jacob Johns is a leader at the US Climate Action Network, a community of almost 200 organizations working together to address the climate crisis. He is also a father, artist and defender of justice. We are heartbroken that Jacob fell victim to gun violence on September 28 during a peaceful protest in Tewa Territory (Española, NM) against resurrection of a statue of conquistador Juan de Oñate. (learn more here). After the local hospital was unable to provide the level of care needed, Jacob was flown to a hospital in Albuquerque, where he remains in stable, but critical, condition.
We love Jacob and recognize that many others do. There is a GoFundMe page set up by a friend of Jacobs, which we've helped to circulate and support. We are setting this page up to supplement what will be raised on the other site because his recovery will be long, costly and his family will need support while he is unable to work. They will be able to access these resources immediately.
