Support Jacob McConkey's Fight for Life

On Saturday June 15th, Jacob McConkey was severely injured in an accident when his motorcycle was struck by a reckless driver on Route 16 in West Ossipee, NH. Jacob was making a left turn into M&V convenience store when he was hit from behind by a truck at a high rate of speed, which had turned into the oncoming lane for unknown reasons. He was airlifted to Maine Medical Center following the accident with significant head trauma and severe damage to one of his legs.

At this time, Jacob remains in a coma, in critical condition and fighting for his life. He has undergone multiple surgeries on his lower extremities along with procedures to help relieve swelling in his brain.

He is surrounded by his family who is incredibly close-knit. They are supporting Jacob and one another as best they can, showing incredible strength during the most difficult time of their lives.

Jacob - like every McConkey - is one of the nicest, funniest, warmest and kindest people that you'll ever meet. It's rare to find someone with such optimism, vigor, and irrepressible love for life. Jacob and his wife Alexis welcomed twins boys in August 2023: Axl and Myles. They, along with his step-daughter Lyla, are the joys of his life. He's a dedicated father, a loyal friend, a loving son, a steadfast brother. In short: a truly incredible human. When Jacob pulls through this terribly dark and sad time, his life will likely never be the same, and neither will his family's.

Now is the time for us all to come together and support Jacob, Alexis, Lyla, Myles, and Axl, as well as the entire McConkey family - just like they've supported us and our community over the years. The funds raised here will support Jacob and his family, so they can remain by his side in Portland. While money can never heal the trauma that has been thrust upon them, we can ease the financial burdens of this situation.

We also ask that everyone continue to support Jacob through prayer, thought, song, meditation, memories, and anything else you believe will help him wake up and heal. Miracles happen in this world every day; if there is anyone on this earth who deserves a second chance at life, it's Jacob McConkey.
