Support Jacob's Recovery from Lightning Strike
Donation protected
Hey y’all! My name is Heather and my younger brother Jacob was struck by lightning Wednesday June 26th. He was out on his job site in Mackay, Idaho and was making dinner with his coworkers. He was walking to his camper when he got struck by lightning. His boss, Steve Clem, opened the door and saw Jacob on the ground. It looked like he had been thrown back into his truck. Steve was able to pull Jacob under his fifth wheel to begin CPR. Another coworker was able to get an AED and shock Jacob’s heart to get it beating again. The ambulance picked Jacob up and took him to Mackay Airport where a life flight helicopter flew him to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He is currently in the Burn ICU. He was sedated and intubated because he needed help breathing. Thankfully he was able to be extubated and is now working with physical therapy to strengthen his legs to walk.
My family’s goal is $10,000 so Jacob doesn’t have to worry about his medical or monthly bills while he recovers. He works at HK Contractors Incorporated so his job is labor intensive. We don’t know how long his recovery is going to take before he returns to work. Any donations are greatly appreciated! Thank you so much for helping my brother.
