Support Jade's Fight Against Breast Cancer

I'm Lonnie Fisher. I have literally known Jade since the day I was born. Our moms were friends as teenagers. We didn’t have a choice 40+ years ago to be friends, but it has remained our choice to stay friends.
Jade’s diagnosis is Triple Negative Breast cancer. She was suddenly diagnosed in late May and started meeting with her surgeon and oncology team right away. Her chemotherapy treatment is broken into three parts. Part 1 has been 12 weekly treatments which, although have made her sick, she has been lucky enough to only miss work a few times. Part 2 will be 4 treatments every 21 days, starting 9/24-11/26, and she will miss weeks of work during this time. She has FLMA so she cannot lose her job, however, she does not get paid if she misses work. In January, she will have surgery and since she carries the BRCA 2 gene mutation, she will undergo a double mastectomy and partial hysterectomy to give her a less than 1% chance of reoccurrence of breast or ovarian cancer. The recovery time will be 6-8 weeks if both surgeries can occur at or around the same time. If not, it can vary 6-12 weeks. All the time off, she will not get paid.
Jade and Andy have a big family. They have four children between the two of them plus they adopted their two nieces. They are mom and dad to all. I point this out because they made a choice to be selfless people, a selfless family. Jade and Andy also volunteer countless hours to Greenfield Baseball Association.
Cancer has caused and will continue to cause financial strain on their family well into the new year.
Please consider helping if you can.
