Support Jaira's Fight Against Guillian-Barré Syndrome.

Donation protected
Jaira was a perfectly healthy 24 year old Woodstock local, who on 5/27 was admitted to NorthSide Hospital for being unable to feel her legs and having trouble breathing. After almost completely losing her motor functions she was diagnosed with Guillian-Barré Syndrome(GBS), a rare neurological disease that quickly eats away at your nerve endings, making the muscles in your body unresponsive. The GBS took 5 days to take over her entire body. After being admitted to the ICU and receiving plasma and lipid infusions for a week, the GBS has begun to regress, but once being discharged she must spend the next 2-3 months going through full time physical theropy and needing full time care and support, until she has regained the ability to walk, and the strength to take care of herself.
Jaira has worked and lived in Woodstock for 3 years, she is loved dearly by everyone who has the pleasure of meeting her. She’s a psychology student at KSU, working towards her masters degree.
Any donation will be greatly appreciated, and go towards Jaira’s Medical Expenses, home bills, and food while being unable to work.
Thank you for taking the time to care, read her story, and for helping someone in need .
