**This is my little cousin Jameel—a brave young soul facing the daily challenges of MS. It’s heartbreaking to see such a struggle in someone so young, who hasn’t yet had the chance to fully experience life’s joys. Even the smallest donation can make a real difference in supporting him through this journey. Thank you for any help you can give; it truly means the world. Here is his story ….**
Hello Everyone, My name is Jameel Dennis, and I'm a student of St Elizabeth Technical High located in Santa Cruz St Elizabeth, Jamaica. I am from Burnt Ground District, I am a victim of "Multiple Sclerosis" (MS), and today, I will be sharing my experience with you living with this disease. So, as some may know, multiple sclerosis is a condition where the immune system attacks the brain and spinal cord. It also includes various symptoms like blurred vision, tiredness, trouble walking, and keeping balance, It also tends to give numbness or weakness in the arms or legs, and these symptoms can come and go or last for a very long time. In some cases, MS leads to partial or complete paralysis. I wasn't really aware of my condition at first, so I just brushed off the fatigue and occasional numbness, thinking that these were caused by lack of sleep. However, the symptoms worsened, and I was hospitalized at the UWI Hospital on different occasions. I was then tested by a neurologist who informed me I had multiple sclerosis (MS). At 14 years old I felt a mixture of relief and fear, since I finally had an explanation for the strange symptoms I’ve been experiencing . Although, it was very difficult for me to accept. My mind raced with thoughts of what lies ahead. Would I still be able to carry out my daily activities ? Was I still gonna think the same after this? To live the life filled with things that I loved? were some of the things that I thought about.
This horrific disease has caused my family struggles
due to the highly priced medications I have to consume daily. Approximately $1,000,000 (1 million JMD) is needed to aid with my treatment for a 2 year period. If you are able to share this message or donate, it would be greatly appreciated. Any form of support means a lot during this difficult time, Thank you again for listening.
please inbox me if you would like to donate. I’m asking for your help. $1 USD= $152 JMD. The value of $152 is the value of what you can buy with $1USD ( maybe candy).
