Support Jamie and Jennifer's Mission to Kenya

Friends and family...!

My daughter Jamie, and I, are fundraising for a mission's trip to KENYA!!

This is a trip through our church (Capital Christian) where we will be serving in Nairobi, Kenya (and surrounding areas). While we are there, we will be traveling with local Kenyan pastors to help serve in their churches, lead VBS, food ministry in the slums, share the gospel, share at youth conferences/testimonies and going for prayer walks.

Jamie has wanted to serve in Kenya for at least a couple of years, and I am so thrilled that this year, she will be able to. She really wants to connect and bless the children, in particular. She's hoping to impact at least one life. She's also very much looking forward to experiencing what life on the other side of the world looks like, and expose herself to communities filled with families who are less fortunate financially, but remain joyful all the same. (I, too, think this will bring a very impactful perspective and experience!)

Since she's under 18 years old, I will need to accompany her. Being included in this opportunity is massively exciting, but financially a little daunting, as this doubles the cost. We need $6,000 in total, by the end of April. EEEK! Below is the breakdown of the financial need - numbers including TWO people:

-$3000 for (2) plane tickets

-$1000 for transportation around Kenya

-$70 covers one day room and board for 12 days (=$1680)

-$200 covers food for the slums ministry outreach

-$100 covers VBS supplies

A large reason she's able to join this trip/mission, is due to her homeschooling program. This not only allows her to go, but it also allows her to hit fundraising hard in the meantime! She plans on selling homemade treats around the neighborhood, babysitting, animal sitting, and whatever else she's able to in these cold temperatures! (Send prayers!) :)

We believe that God will work in us and through us on this trip (and afterward) in many ways. We'd be very grateful if you could support us financially and/or prayer as the Lord leads you.

Please pray that:

All of the trip's financial needs (about $3000/person) will be met in a timely fashion.

All our passports and other documents could be processed quickly.

The group would work well together.

We would encourage and administer to the Kenyan churches and pastors.

God would prepare the hearts of those who will hear from us, and connect with us.

That we will all be filled and lead by the Holy Spirit with every encounter, action and concerning discernment.

God would keep us safe.
