Support Jamie's Double Lung Transplant Journey

My name is Lisa Spillers on behalf of my sister and brother n law Jamie and Allan Schartmann I wanted to create a go fund me if you could take the time and read their story, pray, donate or share it would be greatly appreciated.

Please donate to help my wife with Double Lung Transplant expenses…

My wife and mother of our four children was diagnosed with Interstitial Lung Disease, specifically Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis on February 2023 at the age of 36.

Pulmonary Fibrosis causes the lungs to scar which damages the lungs and affects the breathing. Unfortunately for my wife her lungs have scarred to the point where her only option is a double lung transplant to survive.

Thanks to Jamie’s doctors in Denver and Arizona she is currently on the Active donor list, we can be called at any time to go to the transplant center. Due to the serious state of her health and how far our home in Cheyenne, Wy is were unable to leave the Phoenix, Az area, per Doctors orders.

Once Jamie has lifesaving transplant operation, she we will need to live in Phoenix area for up to a year, currently we have a rental unit in Phoenix we will need to maintain for her monthly visits to her doctors appt. in Arizona. This is at our expense as well as our home, bills etc. in Wyoming.

Our children live in our Cheyenne home under the care of both grandparents with other family members helping out. The monetary cost is staggering and will be for the rest of Jamie’s life. The medical expenses current and future doctor bills, multiple medications, travel to and from Wyoming to Arizona and many unknown expenses at this time, with your generous donations we will be able to focus on Jamie’s healing and recovery after the surgery, rather then worrying how we will pay for all the cost endured with her diagnoses.
