Support Jamie's Fight Against Brain Cancer

Hi everyone, I’m Sara. But those who know me probably already knew that. As most of you know my best friend Jamie has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer called a butterfly glioblastoma.

She was having headaches from what she thought was a bad sinus infection and finally she couldn’t take it anymore and went to the ER.

That’s when they did a CT scan and then a MRI and found it. What a complete shock. She’s only 41. A mother of 2 and a firefighter’s wife. My husband Travis works with her husband at the Poquoson Fire dept. Her husband is a Lieutenant in the fire department , is a part of IAFF union and needs to be with her to help fight for her life. She also takes care of her mother in law full time who is disabled in a wheelchair with MS. She also lives with them in their cramped house, not handicapped accessible at all. Her mom and the rest of her family is moving here from Wisconsin. I’m raising money to help with that, as well as travel/hotel expenses for treatment and to help add on to their house to make it more accessible. Family vacation (could be her last) and any added expenses. I know we’re asking a lot but hopefully this story will hit home. Please help if you can even if’s $5. It goes a long way.

If you don’t know Jamie, she would do anything for anyone and is always bringing her cookies, cakes or other bakery items that she loves to make. She takes care of her mother in law full time who is disabled in a wheelchair. This is all in addition to taking care of the kids full time while her husband is at the station. She is always cheerful and lights up a room with her song singing (even if she gets the words wrong) She is in a fight for her life so please help!!!!
