Support Jamie's Fight Against Cancer

**Update from Don Starr (Jamie's husband) 12/16/23**

Friends and family,

Jamie and I would like to sincerely thank everyone for all of your love, support, and donations. This has been a tremendous help to cover the costs of our AirBnb, transportation, and food costs while we stay in Houston. Thank you for your generosity. Jamie and I truly feel the love.

Jamie began her first cycle of Chemotherapy on December 1st. She will have a total of six 21-day cycles. Each cycle consists of 5 days hospitalized, and 16 days recovery. She was released from the hospital on December 6th, but unfortunately came down with a fever (due to an infection) on December 12th and was readmitted to the hospital. She is almost recovered, and we hope to be discharged for a few days before the next cycle. Jamie is strong and fighting with everything she has.

As tough as this situation is, it has reminded both of us of how lucky we are to have so many amazing people in our lives. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. I will do my best to keep everyone apprised of how things are going in Houston. We have a notebook we are filling with things we plan to do when Jamie beats Cancer and we return home to Albuquerque - #1 on the list is snuggling with our doggies Luna & Tuck. Until then, we will keep filling our notebook with all of the things we look forward to doing with all of you. We will not back down from this fight. Your continued love, support, thoughts, and prayers play a crucial role in helping us find and keep our strength. WE WILL WIN!

We love you all.

Our friend Jamie has recently been diagnosed with Lymphoma, and she is facing a challenging journey ahead. Jamie, her husband, Don Starr, and dad have relocated to Houston to do her treatment at MD Anderson, where she will undergo crucial chemotherapy treatments through the holidays. As most of you know Jamie and Don JUST got married and moved into a new house, they should be unpacking and enjoying their first Christmas in the new house with the pups, but instead, they are back and forth between an Airbnb and the hospital and dealing with the miserable side effects of chemo.

This sudden move has resulted in unexpected expenses that are putting a financial burden on the family. Many of you have asked how you can support Jamie and her family during this trying period. This GoFundMe campaign has been created to help alleviate the financial stress they are facing. Your generous contributions will go towards covering medical bills, lodging expenses, transportation costs, and other unforeseen financial challenges that have arisen due to this unexpected move.

Every donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful impact and provide the financial support they need. Your generosity will allow Jamie to focus on her recovery without the added worry of financial strain.
